Rings made of durable precious metals are typically fit for everyday wear. When choosing daily rings to wear, focus on stones and designs that match your days. If you work with your hands, you may want to choose a solid band or bezel set ring. For lighter daily wear, delicate ring styles can also be a great option.

Softer gemstones, such as opal, are not recommended for daily wear rings.

When purchasing a ring, consider the size of the finger the ring will be worn upon. Ring sizes can vary from finger to finger. If you’re not sure which size to buy, use our ring size chart to find the right fit.

Many rings can be resized to accommodate size changes. For those that cannot be resized, sizing beads can help make a loose ring fit more tightly.

Rings with precious stones such as diamonds are popular for engagement, anniversary, wedding, or right hand rings. Rings for all occasions can include gemstones such as tanzanite, ruby, sapphires and peridot. You can style rings with precious stones by matching colors, such as pairing blue topaz with aquamarine.

Rings should not be worn when cleaning, sleeping, swimming, showering or engaging in other activities that may potentially damage the jewelry. Always store your rings in their original ring boxes or specialized organizers.

In the US and most western countries, tradition states that the wedding ring should be worn on the fourth finger of the left hand for both men and women.

How you clean your rings will depend on the type of metals and gemstones in your special piece.

To clean a platinum ring, simply soak the ring in a mild solution of warm soapy water, and then gently scrub it with a soft-bristled brush. For gold, you will want to use a detergent-free soap.
